May 2017 Meetup Preview
The Number 1 Issue on our recent member survey was Affordable Housing, and you can pretty much bet it’s the Number 1 issue for most DC residents. That’s why we’re focusing our next meetup on this critical topic, with a panel discussion featuring Parisa Norouzi (Empower DC), Amber Harding (Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless), and Mat Hanson (DC Working Families). Parisa will focus on the significance of the Comprehensive Plan (which is currently being updated), Amber will explain what the FY18 budget means for affordable housing, and Mat will help us understand how home-sharing platforms like Airbnb are affecting affordable housing.
MAY MEETUP

DC4D’s Affordable Housing team, led by Joe Barrios, has been working hard on a resolution that will guide DC4D’s housing agenda for the coming year. We will share that with you before the meetup. We will also share a FY18 budget resolution that is being prepared by the Steering Committee with input from the Affordable Housing and Criminal Justice teams.
